MEVI

Based on the principle “the wine is born in the vineyard” we focus on the grapevine selection and care with the aim of obtaining the highest quality grapes.

MEVI SA mainly produces six varietals: Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Chardonnay, Syrah, Bonarda and Torrontes.  It must be stressed that the wines obtained come from grapes of our own farm, which are hand harvested at their optimum ripeness point and from vineyards selected by our enologist.

So far, our wines have been commercialized both in local and export markets. “San Gimignano” wines are commercialized in the local market - Argentina - and in Latin America, while the “MEVI” brand is intended for US export.

MALBEC ROBLE - MALBEC OAK Tasting Notes and Media

This wonderful Malbec is born in our vineyard Finca Dona Sara at the foothills of the Andes in Maipu, Province of Mendoza, Argentina. Malbec has become the signature wine of Argentina. The soil is alluvial type. This soil produces a grape of high quality and high tannins. The mineral disintegration of the Los Andes Range gives birth to clayed soils with a lot of gravel and bounder stone. The water and the ice leave these minerals in well-drained sandy and organically poor layers. This Malbec has a brilliant red color, medium body with purple reflexes, in the nose we detect dry red fruits (strawberry, red currant, prune with more intensity) and with important vanilla notes that grants great fineness.
